The
Untitled Void presents a solo exhibition 《Let Them
Dance》 by Jazoo Yang, on view through March 29.
Over the
past decade, Yang has actively worked across various countries, primarily in
Europe, engaging in painting, installation, performance, projects, and live
painting, without limiting herself to specific locations or genres. The artist
extensively collects unconventional materials from the places she stays and
applies them differently in each series. The narrative begins with the
materials themselves and the act of transferring them.
Her work
is not just a visual result but an autobiographical record, intertwining her
inner self, auditory and bodily gestures, and tactile sensations of her hands,
completed through her dedication and the traces it leaves behind.

This
exhibition marks her first solo show in three years and offers a comprehensive
overview of her artistic world. Centred around her recent series, ‘Skin of
Everything,’ ‘DOTS’ which transposed public art initiatives into a
two-dimensional format for the first time, and other series.
The
exhibition progresses through a series of works, beginning with ‘Immanence,’
where abandoned objects and construction debris from redevelopment sites are
collected and encased in transparent crystal resin. It continues with ‘DOTS,’ a
performative process of repeatedly stamping Buddhist talismans, and ‘Thorns,’
which incorporates remnants of urban spaces that persist despite continuous
erasure. Following these previous series, the exhibition arrives at ‘Skin of
Everything,’ an extension of Yang's ongoing exploration.

Yang
directly immerses herself in her surroundings, observing people and the
environment with a concentrated attitude. She carefully incorporates traces of
places into her work, constantly engaging in a dialogue with materials—a
practice that has remained consistent since the early stages of her career.
Through 《Let Them Dance》, the viewers are able to
witness the transitions between different series, experiencing the full
spectrum of the artist’s multi-sensory engagement and the comprehensive process
through which her actions solidify into completed works.
