The
Untitled Void presents a group exhibition 《Interpretation and Readings》, featuring works by Hansol Noh, Maya Makino, and Jongwoo Ahn,
through August 22.
《Interpretation
and Readings》 brings together three distinct painterly
practices that examine how memory, sensation, and perception are formed,
altered, and translated into visual language.
Although
the three artists begin from different conceptual positions, their practices
converge in their concern with the processes through which the world becomes
perceptible and memorable. Their works move beyond the representation of
visible subjects to examine the conditions that make perception, remembrance,
and interpretation possible.
Language
and convention, sensation and recollection, record and trace each structure
human experience in different ways. Yet experience never remains fixed; it is
continually reorganized through the shifting perspectives and sensations of the
present.

Rather than
offering a single, definitive meaning, 《Interpretation and Readings》 asks how we see, remember, and make sense of the world. As viewers
follow the layers of memory, sensation, and perception articulated across the
works, they are invited to confront the frameworks through which they
themselves apprehend experience.
In doing
so, they may come to recognize that the world they have regarded as familiar
and self-evident is, in fact, the result of countless overlapping sensations,
memories, languages, and acts of interpretation.
