Hosted by Urban Art Lab in Seoul and organized by AliceOn, in
collaboration with the Soorim Cultural Foundation and FLOWORKS, the exhibition 《Slipping Reality: Reconfiguring Borders,
Expanding Senses》 is on view at Soorim Cube through
July 19.
The exhibition begins with a reflection on how art and
technology today perceive, contemplate, and unfold the increasingly blurred and
fluid boundaries between reality and the virtual.

The exhibition begins with a reflection on how, in today’s world
where the boundaries between reality and the virtual slip, overlap, and shift,
art and technology perceive, contemplate, and articulate this condition.
Participating artists Nam Soyeon, Lee InKang, Lee Jaehyung, Lee
Haekang, Team Pearl, and Han Seungku each present unique perspectives and
mediums—unfolding themes such as the human body and emotions, sound and data,
and social issues through contemporary media.

In this space, viewers are invited to explore how multilayered
the “reality” they take for granted truly is—and how technology can expand our
senses and ways of thinking. The exhibition’s title, “Slipping Reality,”
suggests a dissolution of fixed truths and boundaries, where everyday life is
reinterpreted in unfamiliar ways through the convergence of artistic
imagination and technology.
《Slipping Reality》 introduces active creators
working between the realms of art and technology. Within the spaces they
construct—where reality slips and shifts—visitors encounter moments when the
familiar becomes strangely unfamiliar. In doing so, the exhibition opens up new
perspectives on our present lives and the society we inhabit.
