PS CENTER presents a group exhibition 《Plants Eat Animals》 on view through April 12. This exhibition, featuring five artists—Kim Soonhyeon, Kim Yunyoung, La Kim Jan Tomza, and Jang Heakyoung—creates a space for contemplating coexistence with various non-human beings in an era of rapidly evolving technology.

Throughout history, we have advanced materially, technologically, and structurally in society, moving away from a primitie existence in a natural state to establish a more developed and refined way of life. The coexistence and symbiosis with what Luce Irigaray refers to as "vegetal existence" is a reminder of the conditions for survival and a reflection on the mode of development for human civilization that we must contemplate in modern society.

In 《Plants Eat Animals》, five artists metaphorically express the attitudes that humanity and civilization should adopt within this condition of symbiosis. Like the reversal structure implied in the exhibition title, the artists reveal the memories and contemplative time deeply rooted in humans as mammals, either through landscape or ecological expressions, and show realistic ways of life that are protective, vigilant, and defensive. Furthermore, they pose futuristic questions about the existence of urban civilization.
