The exhibition offers a focused presentation of the artist’s recent work, developed through sculpture, painting, and installation, and reflects her sustained investigation into gravity, balance, sensation, and perception. The works position space not as a passive backdrop but as a field in which sensory and physical forces interact, reconfiguring the viewer’s mode of perception.

Museum_Global K-Art 《Treasures of Korea: Collected, Cherished, Shared》, The Lee Kun-hee Collection Touring Exhibition at the Smithsonian National Museum of Asian Art A special exhibition of Korean art,《Treasures of Korea: Collected, Cherished, Shared》, is currently on view at the Smithsonian National Museum of Asian Art in Washington, D.C. This exhibition marks the first stop of an international tour based on the collection donated by the late Lee Kun-hee. It is jointly organized and presented by the National Museum of Korea and the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea.

Artist_Global K-Art Artist Mire Lee’s Solo Exhibition at the New Museum This Summer Artist Mire Lee’s works are far from picturesque or beautiful. They have a bizarre and grotesque appearance that evokes feelings of disgust. But because of this, it is difficult to look away from Lee’s works. Some of her works drip wet slime as if an animal’s intestines were hung from an iron bar, while others resemble a desolate, abandoned construction site with the torn fabric remaining on a steel frame, reminiscent of a battered whale with only its bones remaining.

Artist_Global K-Art Artist Donghoon Rhee Holds Solo Exhibition at VSF, Los Angeles VSF (Various Small Fires) is presenting Woman, a solo exhibition by Donghoon Rhee (b. 1991), at the gallery’s “and Milk” project space in Los Angeles. It is the artist’s first solo exhibition outside of Korea, featuring new wood sculptures and paintings. The exhibition’s title was inspired by the works of Willem de Kooning, Woman I (1950–1953) and Woman III (1953).

It was also the day the Venice Biennale announced the winners of the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement. On March 14, the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea announced the final winner of the Korea Artist Prize 2021.

Biennale_News Binna Choi Appointed as Artistic Director for the 61st Venice Biennale Korean Pavilion The Arts Council Korea (ARKO) has appointed curator Binna Choi as the Artistic Director for the Korean Pavilion at the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia (Venice Biennale) in 2026. Binna Choi previously served as a curator for the 2016 Gwangju Biennale and as a co-artistic director for the 2022 Singapore Biennale. She was the Director of Casco Art Institute in the Netherlands from 2008 to 2023. She is currently serving as a co-artistic director for the Hawai‘i Triennial 2025, which runs until May 4 this year.
