The《2025 Asian Students and Young Artists Art Festival (ASYAAF)》, the largest art fair for young artists in Asia, will be held from August 12 to September 7 at Culture Station Seoul 284.

This year’s event marks a meaningful return to Seoul Station, where the inaugural ASYAAF took place in 2008, celebrating its 18th edition in a historic venue.

A Cross-Generational, Cross-Genre Platform

The exhibition is divided into two sections: ‘Young Artists’ (ages 19–35) and ‘Hidden Artists’ (ages 36 and above). A maximum of 500 artists will be selected, presenting works across the full spectrum of visual arts—including painting, sculpture, media art, design, and crafts.

This structure allows the experimental spirit of emerging artists to coexist with the refined mastery of more established creators, offering audiences a rich, multi-layered viewing experience.

Artist-Centered Sales System

ASYAAF operates on a fair-trade model that puts artists first.

For the ‘Young Artists’ section, there is no commission fee for offline sales, and prices are capped at 3 million KRW to lower the barrier for collectors and support early-career artists. For the ‘Hidden Artists’ section, a 20% commission applies to offline sales, with no price ceiling.

For online sales, both sections are subject to a 23.3% commission (including payment and settlement fees), with payments made in a lump sum at the end of the month following the sale date.

Platform Expansion and Sustainability

《ASYAAF》is designed to go beyond a one-off exhibition. Even after the offline show closes, artworks will continue to be available for purchase through the official website, creating a system that connects artists and audiences without the limitations of location or time.

This approach aims to provide emerging artists with a stable sales channel while offering visitors a second chance to acquire works they may have missed during the exhibition. The online sales platform ensures transparency with clearly stated settlement cycles and commission rates.

Achievements and Future Vision

Since its launch in 2008,《ASYAAF》has welcomed over 430,000 visitors and sold more than 9,800 artworks, establishing itself as a vital gateway for young artists.

While the organizers do not disclose year-by-year figures, the fair’s core values lie in its fair-trade structure, accessible pricing, and sustainable distribution channels.

The《2025 ASYAAF》will present works by artists across generations and nationalities within the historic setting of Culture Station Seoul 284, which marks its 100th anniversary this year. Visitors can look forward to discovering the “future masters” where history and contemporary art meet.
